My cousin Sara alerted me on some great sale deals at Talbots and I couldn't resist this cute sweater dress.  I got it in black, I hope it fits ok ... sign says "all sales final" which always makes me nervous!  I think it will cute with black tights and tall black boots.   Fingers crossed for a good fit.   Stay tuned!!

UPDATE:  Dress is here and is super cute!  Not too clingy - I ordered a med which size form says fits 10/12.  I usually wear an 8 but didn't love the idea of wearing a dress designed to fit 6/8.  I don't think I've been a 6 since high school and it scared me.  The size I chose is definitely a smidge big - might need a belt to give if a bit more shape.  I don't love to accentuate my waist though - after 4 kids, let's just say it's not my best feature :)   Long story short - I am pretty pleased with this "final sale" purchase.  It's a pretty classic looking dress that will work for a variety of occasions!

I just ordered this from Lands End. I think I am going to love it - it's very me. Only rated "warm" on their warm, warmer, warmest scale but I don't spend a lot of time outside in the winter. Spreading the Love

Been so busy this week, regular blogging hasn't made it to the to do list sadly. I HAD to share that Talbots kids isn't "officially" closed yet. Go to http://www.talbots.com/ click outlet, then kids. There are lots of steals and deals there - most are 50% off and some are 75% with a decent selection. Kay made out the best with some nicer casual stuff - not so much for school but will work well for church etc.

Like this patchwork corduroy skirt... for 29! Yes, please :) I would wear this if they had my size - I think we'll do this with ballet flats as it's more Kay's style.

Just when I think enough is enough and tell myself I have plenty (and I mean plenty) of Lilly Pulitzer items in my wardrobe.... my subconscious eases my guilty mind and tells me there is always room for one more summer skirt.
