We are in the middle of planning a trip to Disney in Orlando sometime this fall. Ms. C just turned 4 and is totally into all the characters so the timing is just right. I know there are lots of sites with tips etc but I am reaching out to you guys to see if you have any family friendly (4 kids ages - 11,9,8 and 4) hotels, sites, tips, recommended length of stay, etc etc etc. Also - Animal Kingdom - yay or nay? Any and all input is appreciated! xo, Brie

I haven't been in about 10 years, but I remember that the Hollywood Studios was the best. Your oldest will probably love it. The Magic Kingdom is good for little ones. And definitely make a reservation for the '50s Primetime diner. So much fun! Not sure about the Animal kingdom, it wasn't open yet.
Good luck with the planning, I'm jealous!!
One more thing, I got to open some of my B Day presies tonight and I got a super cute K & B bag. I'll be posting about it when I return from NYC on Tuesday!! Love it!
Im a disney addict! i go atleast three times a year. if you bring the little one to animal kingdom, bring a stroller the park is the largest, and a very long walk for little legs. there are however some really fun things such as the finding nemo play and the safari drive for kids his age. i would suggest staying no shorter than three days, because he will require a nap and there is so much to do! make sure you get a list of the character schedule as they often go on breaks (even buzz lightyear eats lunch!)... hope that helps!
All great tips!! Thank you!! Keep em coming :)
Happy Birthday Laura! I am glad you like the bag - have a great trip in NYC! Weather has been off the charts great this week - little to no humidity which is incredibly rare for August. Have fun!
yes, yes, yes! about Animal Kingdom...it's my favorite and my little nature girls just loved it!
you children will have tons of fun at disney, i haven't been there in a couple of years. been to orlando, just not to disney. unversial studios is a lot of fun too! good luck planning!
I'm from Orlando, and I still love Disney (I even worked there one summer :)
I think the Magic Kingdom is still the best. Maybe one of the water parks. If you have any other questions, email me offline, brooke@veganbabe.com
Hi there, why not have a look at www.doingflorida.com for some info and tips. There is a great Forum full of advice from people who have visited Disney and love the place. You will have a great time especially if you plan to see Mickey's Not so scary Halloween Party, Mickey has even got a new outfit this year!
www.mousesavers.com and www.allears.net are great sites. Magic Kingdom is our favorite. Animal Kingdom can be done in a 1/2 day- the safari ride is the best. Just jet straight to the back of the park and ride early. We are going to Disney in Nov. so I'll think of other hints and post on my blog. Have a great time. 5 days minimum!
Guys, I really can't thank you enough! I am excited to check out these great sites. Trip is BOOKED we are definitely going 8:D (those are suppossed to mouse ears on my smiley lol!)
I came upon you from Grosgrain Garage, and saw this post, so I know it is a little late. We've gone several times, and in fact are going for my daughter's fifth birthday. (Birthday lunch in the Castle! Woohoo!) In answer to the Animal Kingdom question, I'll be honest and say, I wouldn't go again. I suppose it is alright, but it really seemed like an over-rated zoo. Keep in mind I've been to some nice zoos, including the San Diego Wild Animal Park, but as much as I tried to like it, I was kind of let down. Busch Gardens in Tampa is better, and if you really need an animal fix, try SeaWorld right there in Orlando. I do hear that the resort in the Animal Kingdom is unbelievably awesome, and they do have cool safari themed souvenirs, but I was kind of "meh" about the park in general. Magic Kingdom is pretty darn magical, and I think Epcot has the best fireworks display at the end of the night, though each park puts on a good show. I'm sure you guys will have a wonderful time. I still get a lump in my throat every time I walk down Main Street in the Magic Kingdom, and see Cinderella's Castle. I guess I'll never be completely grown-up! Best of luck, take lots of pictures, and get lots of rest! Disney is certainly exhausting!!
have fun, i haven't been to disney world in forever! have fun!!!
