Crazy for You Tube!

Another hilarious one for you.... (beware though, one naughty word but I am sure it was used for dramatic effect!) and whatever you do, stay out of kinkos! xo, Brie

I apologize in advance...

I can't get this song out of my head after seeing the movie three times this past weekend. Now I am going to get it in your head :) It's a great song, and you have to admit Cee-Lo from Gnarls Barkley has one awesome voice! You're a diamond in the rough, a brilliant ball of clay, you can be a work of art, if you just go all the way! Love it :) xo, Brie

If I had been a contestant on American Idol - this is the song I would have chosen. I'm certain that I would have rocked it, karate moves and all. Go big or go home, right?

Two Snaps Up!!!

Miss Kay loved the REAL Parent Trap just like I knew she would!

Next one I'm going for is another Hayley favorite - The Trouble with Angels (which I incidentally played a small supporting role in our high school production) - I'm certain I was fabulous ;) xo, Brie

Great Teachers are the BEST

Have I ever mentioned how much I love Liam's 2nd grade teacher? I do!! She is so sweet with the kids and sends us funny emails like these.......and she makes a delicious homemade cheesecake (I just bought one that I am bringing to my mom's for Easter)

Dear Parents,
Does "Happy Monday" EVER really apply?
Just a reminder, tomorrow second grade is on the tee to bring lunches for the poor. This should include a meat sandwich with no condiments, a drink, and a treat, i.e. cookies/ granola bar/ chips. This is strictly voluntary. Math facts are not. Please study and read over vacation. Don't forget your sunscreen. I can almost smell the chlorine at Ginty Pool!
Have a safe and Happy Easter,
Mary

I am thankful for Mrs. K! xo, Brie

The Parent Trap

Borrowed this against my daughter's wishes today from the library (she'll change her mind after she sees it). I can think of NO BETTER way than spending a rainy afternoon with one of my favorites starring Haley Mills - the REAL version thank you very much ;) xo, Bridget

Sweet mother of pearl - I'm getting hooked on Twitter now. I'm always fashionably late to the newest trends in time wasting fun. It's fun... It's different from facebook b/c while finding old friends is quite fun, I am finding this more direct and time saving with one streaming feed (sort of like facebook's home page news feed) It's basically status updates BUT not only can you follow your buds - you can follow famous people which is quite fun along with old favorites like flylady who tweets and reminds me to spends 10 minutes in my hot spots (ahhhh I've missed her) and CNN top stories updates too! See, it's not all stuff and nonsense. Ok, maybe it is.... but did I mention, it's FUN :) xo, Brie

Come follow me (keeksandbrie) b/c Lord knows I won't be able to follow you any other way. I am nowhere near proficient at this!

Chore Duty for the Kids

In an effort to further simplify my overwhelming list of household chores, the children have been put to work. They DO do things around here but outside of clearing their plates after dinner and putting their dirty clothes in the hamper there are no strict routines. Until now.............

I read about this awhile ago and so far it has been FANTASTIC. You make up a little jar (or in our case a ziploc baggie) with little after dinner chores written on cards. Every night after dinner, we all draw a card and have to do that chore. I kept them pretty simple because we have a 4 year old but you can taylor them anyway you like. Sweep the floor seems to be missing but that is in there too.

There is a prize in there too should you be the lucky recipient.

The kitchen is completely cleaned up in under 15 minutes and the kids seem to really like the responsibility combined with the "raffle". I encourage you to try it!! xo, Brie

Our 4 year old and truthfully most conscientious cleaner of the four! She was on rinse duty tonight (with supervision) and loving it
