Summer Reading

Can't put this book down... it is so good. I have the 2nd book in the series Catching Fire on deck and the 3rd is due out in August. If you are looking for a great summer read, this is it! xo, Brie

Summer Fun

Holy MOLY have I been a no show or what? I'm on the Cape and having a fab summer :) Lots of baseball for the boys, lots of beach time for us girls, lots of DQ, lots of wine, lots of movies, lots of fun.

I forgot my camera cord and you know how I don't love the posts w/o the pics. I bet my dad will let me borrow his camera so I can start properly chronicling all this fun.

Drop what you are doing and go see Toy Story 3 if you haven't seen it yet. It's really really good (I'm partial to these movies too so I'd be mad and tell you if it were no bueno)

If only to meet the new character Big Baby who is beyond awesome!! I solemnly swear to be a better blogger! Bye for now ;) xo, Brie

Blogger Trouble

Yes, I am Mr. Angry today. Is anyone else having trouble with multiple picture postings and placement within their blog? I've researched the help section and I have tried the old editor, the new editor, the middle aged editor. NONE of them are working for me.

I even posted a help topic within the blogger forum and someone told me to cut and paste all my pics in html code throughout the blog. That seems labor intensive. My hand is also in a splint so that just won't work. It was working fine before. If it's not broken, don't fix it! xo, Brie

Thwarted

We had a very nice weekend here in NJ with the exception of my hand getting slammed accidentally in the car door. Slammed as in incredible hulk hard, and slammed as in I didn't even see it coming. A mother pucker moment indeed and my right hand no less, which I find I use quite a bit.



Good news is - it is not broken. Bad news is - it is three times normal size, purple in color, and numb. Not a headband making hand at present so the give away will have to postponed. Also postponed: folding laundry, fancy dinners, and housework in general until this finger gets its act together.

Fabulous Finds at, where else? TAR-SHJAY!

This morning while procrastinating I geared up for the day ahead, I discovered a more than fabulous find on Let's Be Preppy blog. I realize they are knock offs of some very beloved companies but they are $20!!!

I am hard on shoes so for me to really go for it and splurge - I've got to be in love. So these will be more than fine for moi.

After adding these beauties my cart, Target suggests a dress they think I might like.

You know what? They were right on the money! I more than like it.... anything with fun trim that resembles a hostess cupcake for 39.99 is a done deal. I apologize for the Lilliputian sized pics - it's Target's fault.

Now that my cart is exceeding 50 dollars, Target shares with me a 15 dollar discount and free shipping!! I ♥ you Target. Only downside is they won't ship until mid July but I have a feeling these might be worth the wait and sometimes they try and surprise you and ship earlier.
