Shrek Forever After

We just took the kids to see the final installment in the Shrek movies. The kids really liked it and I have to admit, I did too! They made us fork over and extra $3 something per person to see it in 3d and it just isn't that impressive. I would skip that feature and just see the regular screen version.

I also managed to woof down a rather large TUB of popcorn with extra delicious butter so I'm pretty sure that means I have had enough calories for an entire week in a 90 minute sitting. Darn you movie theatre popcorn, why must you be so delicious?

My favorite new character to the Shrek family is definitely the evil Rumpelstiltskin! I could totally get behind having a set of "angry hair" I think I'd wear every day! xo, Brie

Blog Makeover

Spent a nice chunk of today trying to figure out how to make a custom template for my blog. I have some great templates that I designed for our newsletters but I can't seem to get it to translate to blogger. I don't have photo shop which seems to be a substantial road block. My efforts have been futile, but I'm no quitter! I've only wasted 3 hours on this and I'm just getting started :)

Confession

This is still hanging in my foyer. I know it's May and Easter and is long gone. I think I just like "something" hanging in this particular spot. I began my quest to find something more year round to take its place - preferably something not featuring baby chicks and bunnies.

It was NOT as easy as you think. Sure I could have gotten off my keister and gone into Home Goods or Pier One but that would have required me actually getting off the couch and heading out into the heat.

Fingers crossed... I think I may have found the perfect replacement and on ebay no less! Score! I like the votives, I might even light them on a night we are having company over b/c candlelight makes me feel fancy :) I'm sure I'll forget, or won't be able to locate a flame source! I'll post a pic when she arrives and is in place. xo, Brie

Lost Finale - no spoilers

I'm at a loss.... let's just say I didn't hate it but I expected a LOT more. Was it me, or were there 2000 more commercials than normal? I stayed up way past my bedtime and am left feeling a little hollow and tired. xo, Brie

Baby Got Back

C had her final Daisy scout meeting today and when I picked her they had planted these beautiful flowers in mini fishbowls. They were SO cute! Please note the past tense... I put the plant in the car, went around the side of the car to get her situated in her seat, went back to my driver's seat, sat down, and heard this horrific pop! I was thinking what the - when I realized my gigantic ashcan had sat directly on top of the flower/fishbowl!!!!!!!!!!!!! The fishbowl appeared to be pulverized by approximately 0.0 seconds of pressure. What an ego boost!




How I am not in the hospital getting stitches in my derriere (please pronounce that Dehr-ree-AY like Ramona) I will never know, so I guess I should be happy. It would have been such a pleasure to have to tell and retell that one!



Lucky for me, I enjoy spending lots of money on things I really don't need at the Christmas Tree Shop (or the Christmas Crap Shop as my dad calls it) b/c I had the perfect tiny vase (please pronounce it vahs - since I paid 1.99 for it) to transplant this traumatized flower! xo, Brie

Glee

In case you missed it - one of Glee's best ever. I loved it! I love Idina Menzel and was lucky to see her in Wicked. Phenomenal! xo, Brie
